This is the third time that the Hungarian Poster Association announces a call for works for their large-scale exhibition, PosterFest, which this year bears the name RESTART expressing their belief in the hope of a new beginning in postpandemic times.
The Student Competition allows organizers to draw special attention to introducing a new generation of artists. The organizers look forward to receiving poster designs that speak in a unique way about a fresh start after the pandemic is over. How will the world restart? What traces of the epidemic will remain with us in our future lives? Or do we have to live forever in the shadow of another emerging virus / mutation? Do we need to settle for long-term coexistence with the virus? Has it changed us and if so, what is the current situation like? If there is a chance for a fresh start, how would you go about it? The aim of the competition is to present the students’ individual opinions, critical attitudes, innermost feelings and thoughts with the specific tools of poster graphic design through the topic of Restart.
Entries will be judged by an international jury. The list of the members of the jury will be published on the official website of the event in the summer of 2021: www.posterfest.hu
