The Hungarian Poster Association announces a call for entries for stuents enrdolled at art and design courses at higher education institutions.
For the fourth time, the Hungarian Poster Association is organizing a large-scale exhibition and event series entitled PosterFest, THE SAFE PLACE. Through the student competition, we are aiming to showcase the new generation of artists.
The title of the PosterFest 2024 competition as well as the motto of the exhibition is THE SAFE PLACE. The keywords of the competition are “safety”, and the “search for safety” in a world where the individual is constantly confronted with and thus forced to reflect on social, economic, political, and ecological processes that are perceived as crises shaping their direct or indirect living space and lifestyle, or on any individual or collective problem that occurs in the life of the individual and concerns them. What tools do I have at my disposal to deal with distressing life situations and conditions caused by external and internal influences? Where and what is my desired or available refuge?
The competition calls for solutions in the language of poster design that reflect the graphic designer’s particular approach to the subject. Entries will be judged by an international jury. The list of the jury will be published in September 2024 on the official website of the event: www.posterfest.hu
The selected entries will be exhibited at the Vigadó in Budapest from January 2025.

COMPETITION RULES
1. You must read and accept the terms and conditions of the application
2. To submit an application, you must register, provide basic information, accept the terms and conditions of the application and upload your work.
3. By submitting material, the applicant guarantees that the images submitted are, without exception, his/her own intellectual property. By submitting their work, the applicant unconditionally agrees that their work may be displayed, published and repro-duced by the Hungarian Poster Society and Poster Fest Budapest in printed form at the exhibition, on their websites, online platforms, at events organised in cooperation with the Hungarian Poster Society and Poster Fest Budapest, and as part of the marketing activities promoting the event.
4. Each applicant may submit up to 3 entries.
5. Participants will be informed of the outcome of the competition by email.
6. By submitting an entry, the applicant agrees that the Hungarian Poster Association may exhibit the submitted works in the printed and finished form created by the applicant, or use it in digital form to promote the competition, the Posterfest programme and poster art in general; without any time or area restrictions, and with the indication of the applicant/author.
